(1) Waste resources, pollute the environment, and leave hidden dangers behind
Hydraulic seals are divided into static seals and dynamic seals. Leakage is divided into internal cavity leakage and external cavity leakage. External leakage refers to the leakage of the fluid working medium in the hydraulic sealing chamber from the hydraulic system. These leaked liquids can flow onto the ground or objects, contaminating the workplace and affecting environmental cleanliness; Hydraulic oil is generally flammable and can easily leave a fire hazard. It not only pollutes the environment, but also can be contaminated by dust or other factors and cannot be used anymore.
(2) Reduce the impact of pressure output force
One of the biggest advantages of hydraulic mechanical devices is that they can generate more force or torque than any other device that occupies the same volume and material, mainly because the pressure it transmits does not decay. However, due to the decrease in pressure caused by leakage and pressure fluctuations, it will reduce the output force or torque, greatly affecting the working ability of hydraulic machinery equipment, and even producing unexpected consequences and disasters. If hydraulic machinery equipment cannot work on land due to severe leakage, pressure reduction, or loss of pressure, it may not be able to shut down independently, leading to production stoppage and inability to proceed with the process, resulting in losses that can be imagined.
(3) Reduce speed
Hydraulic actuators in hydraulic systems (such as oil cylinders, whose operating speed is directly proportional to the liquid flow rate) may slow down due to leakage and reduced rated working fluid, resulting in less work completed per unit time, greatly reducing work efficiency. In severe cases, if the output speed is too low, it may lead to unpredictable consequences. If there is a leak in the hydraulic control system, it will affect the control speed and slow down the control effect. In complex control programs, if the control effect is not completed on time, it can lead to chaos in the control program, which may result in irreparable errors and adverse consequences.
(4) May cause harm to people and affect safety
When the pressure of the hydraulic system is P=30Mpa or higher, especially under ultra-high pressure, if there are micro pores or micro gaps leaking, high-speed injection will occur. If the micropores or gaps are close enough, the jet will shoot at everyone's body like bullets or knives, causing serious harm. If an object is hit by a high-speed liquid column, it may also be damaged. Objectively, it's like cutting objects with high-pressure jets. This type of micropore and micro gap can easily occur in welding seams or non dense, loose or cracked parts, threads, and other joints due to long-term high-pressure or alternating loads, impact loads, sudden generation of micropores and micro gaps, and sudden injection of high-speed spraying. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the leakage of micropores and micro gaps in high-pressure, especially ultra-high pressure hydraulic machinery equipment. The harm of high-speed jet to people or objects is unsafe, and it should be avoided as much as possible.
